I have watched quite a few of your videos and have fallen in love with the NC750X and your videos Think I'll trade my BMW K1200S for an NC750X. Do you have a link to the phone holder that looks like a quad lock
Great
Beautiful motorcycle!
Are you interested in the useless electronic stuff or the scooter😮
Yes, I do actually use it most days .I enjoy listening to music while I'm riding and the joystick is brilliant.
Very interesting and well explained.
Thanks for watching 👍
What is that thing from 'OXFORD' with the buttons on the left side from the handlebar?
That's for my heated grips, it gets cold here in the UK 🇬🇧
This is now my NT 1100DCT Didn't need to pay for the Voyager Pack as they were getting rid of the 2023 model even registered on a 24 plate.
Cool scooter and video, I'm thinking about purchasing one of these scooter........what is the price tag?
Hi thanks for watching 👍 I believe they are £5799 at the moment.
@@Crohniebiker but it's unfortunate that particular is not being sold in the United States for whatever reason(s).......does that price costs in American dollars? Or no?
@rhammond1963 that price is for UK pounds. We don't get the honda CT125 over here, unfortunately. I'd personally love one .
What I use to once a year was to blow that area out with a air line I included it in the service as I do all my own servicing, pick my new adv on Tuesday, from where you got yours from.
I think I will be doing the same thing from now on 👍
after your video I decided to purchase the ADV 350. It's two weeks now, and it's simply perfect for the big cities (i live in Rome), but I did some 300kms trips already, simply perfect. Thanks man
Thanks for watching I'm so glad you're enjoying you're new ADV
Hi, am interested In an adv350. I have a 400 burger so how do you find the performance against the burger....top speed and acceleration. enjoyed the video. Ps seems a lot easier to get to the drive without having to take loads of plastic off. Cheers, Eric
Hi I also had a burgman 400 but the older one. I can say the ADV350 beats it on performance and handling but the burger us more comfortable and better weather protection.
125Nm for the variator nut. Well thats according to the adv polini instructions. Just a point, aren't the rollers orientation sensitive?
Thanks for the info 👍 The rollers are just standard no left or right side that I could tell anyway 👍
Would like to see honda make a NX #500.FOR US OLD FARTS I WOULD LIKE TO THAT ...😮
Make the DCT.NX $500
Yeah that sounds like a bike I'd be interested in as I have previously had a cb500x . Both brilliant bikes 🏍
750 is manageable mind you. I’m 67 and slightly arthritic, so I see where you’re coming from.
That was a thoroughly entertaining and informative review. I love how fast your bike is off the line, that will never not be fun. I passed my mod1 a couple days ago, and my mod2 is set for the 22nd July. I’ve been riding a 125 for the last year, I felt that the mod1 was going to be the big hurdle, but I passed it easily in the end, so if I’m sensible, I hope the mod2 is going to be just a formality. The plan is to ride to the dealer the second I pass, trade in, and leave the dealer with this bike on the same day I pass.
Thanks for watching. Good luck with your mod 2 ,hope you fly through You will love the adv it's a fantastic bike 👍
I did the same as you. Test rode it twice and put a deposit down straight away. Absolutely fell in love with it. Mines in the matte jeans blue and I've opted for all the accessory packs!! 😁 Cannot wait - pick it up in a week ❤
They really are an under rated bike in my opinion, and a bonus is they're so good on fuel ⛽️ Thanks for watching 👀
Hi, do you also use the accessory harnas that you can activate in the fusebox with an extra relais? If so, is the relais you are installing necessary?
No the only reason I installed my own relay was because I don't want to overload the bikes harness with all my accessories. Hope this helps
@@Crohniebiker Thanks, that’s what I thought. My dad just bought a NC750 and he’s thinking about installing some extra options, so now we are looking for the easiest and safest way to do so. Thanks for the vid and reply.
Excellent video very informative I pick my new one up next week I like to do all my own maintenance so this was very interesting 👍👍
Thanks for watching I appreciate it 👍
well explained, thanks
I don't bother about it. I treat it as a squeaking brakes.
Great simple explanation , well done bud 👍
Thanks very much 😀
I had the same problem when I first purchased my used 14000 mile 2001 NSS250 Honda Reflex. At that time I had owned nothing but motorcycles and had little to no knowledge of CVT bikes or scooters. On take off it had a horrible shutter, from takeoff to around 12 mph, and sometimes a loud squeal only on acceleration up through 35 or 40 mph. An aftermarket racing clutch and matching clutch bell solved my shutter problem and a new Bando factory drive belt solved the sqealing problem. Previouse owner had put a cheap Chinese drive belt on it. Also dumped the rollers for sliders in the variator.
On wet weather its more noticeable. My sh300i with 50000miles also do that and already changed clutch. You clean it, judger disapeers and after a few miles is there again. Annoying at low speed but once the belt and clutch warms up its gone.
Yes I did find it was better once it warms a bit . I'll have see how it goes once I've done a few more hours o it . Thanks for watching 👍
Great video..thx for taking the time to share. I am sure we will all be doing this job at some point.
Great video. My sh350 is suffering judder at just 2000 miles. I'll point it out to my dealer at the next annual service.
Great vid Gaz👍👍👍
Yey 🔧😎
Having just got a Forza, good to know, looks to be just dust from natural wear of the belt and clutch plates. Great vid, one to follow if/when any get similar issue.
Thanks for watching 👀
Brilliant, nicely done and you saved a fortune! BUT, am disappointed we should have to do this at such low mileage - just done 2500 myself and was thinking 'nothing to do for years, wrongly!'. Also, even though debris was a few grams, where did it come from and what future problems are around the corner????
I believe it comes from the clutch shoes at the back and possibly just the rubbing up and down of the rollers at the front . Thanks for watching 👍
@@Crohniebiker Hopefully you might send the vid to Honda UK, it's concerning! I started with a twin 125 in the 60's, I still have a v twin 125 but they are traditional bikes, good as gold!
Did 30 k on my xmax 250 changed belt twice in life and rollers. Not this problem, it’s disgraceful Mr Honda - cheap clutch shoes
Never heard of running an engine in?
That's just an old myth from the day's when the tolerances were a mile out .👌
Oh my god I love these country rides with no music. These videos are great man!! Your little starting problem also bit me on my old Reflex when I first bought it. Honda has used that same brake lever switch for years. Learning curves can be a pain sometimes. Later man, gotta go for a scooter ride!!😁
I have a old scooter that I purchased with about 14500 miles on the clock 4 years ago. It is also a Honda, a 2001 NSS250 Reflex. Just this spring I turned 57000 miles on the clock and no that is not a typo, I ride the hell out of this thing. At the start of last year riding season I decided to do a ground up maintenance, new fuel line, new fuel filter, new vacuum lines, clean the carb (still didn't need it but did it anyway), valve adjustment, new tires, new drive belt, etc., you get the idea. I decided to go on a long trip out of state (I live in the USA) and was extremely happy with the highway fuel mileage of this thing. It is a 3.2 gallon tank and I reset the trip meter every fill up, a habit from having too many motorcycles in the past with no gas gauge. Other than potty breaks I ran 243 miles on the that first tank of my trip and at the first fill up I still had .4 of a gallon left in the tank which came out to 86 mpg... WOW, I have never had a motorcycle in my life to ever even come close to that. Great video and I hope to see many more from ya Crohnie!!
Thanks for your comments, I have always enjoyed scooters, the practicality and fuel millage is fantastic and this honda is by far the best one I've ever had . Thanks for watching 👀
Surprised the bike still moves with all that extra weight 😆
Good pratical upgrades there CB, Enjoy😎
Center stand on mine was fitted by my dealer just before I picked it up. RESULT Givi touring screen was added to replace the stock screen. Phone charger case thing that goes on my Givi screen accessories bar. Use my phone for Doris (Google Maps) and music / phone calls via Bluetooth in my Crash helmet. Got the ThunderBox and installed that so I can add more powered items as the years go by. Just added a MotoCoverz Sheepskin seat pad to stop erm..... butt cheek discomfort lol. Really comfy now. Givi Top box rack with Kappa 48l box. I am sure more will find its way on the bike in time lol Wishing you well and always upright on your two wheels.
Thanks for watching I do appreciate it. I'm thinking about getting a sheepskin seat cover 🤔 that's the only thing that's not perfect on my bike 👍
@Crohniebiker so far, mine is helping, but I have just ordered the long hair version and asked the guys to make it a little bigger. I am making a video about both versions once the new has my butt on it for a 200 mole trip I have planned very soon.
I used new well nuts when I fitted my sat -nav bar .
You can get a "cargo plate" to replace the rear seat when touring without a pillion - you can then refuel with anything strapped to it !
Thanks that would be useful 👍
Nice video, good choices with your accessories.
Pls update on smart key problem. I don't think it can just be seat open.
Basically I wasn't holding in my back brake lever hard enough to make it start. Since I have realised its been perfect for the last 2 years. Hope this helps
@@Crohniebiker Hi Crohnie. Thanks but that's not quite how I understand the key to connect and allow the fob to turn. Mine froze and so I couldn't turn the knob. Therefore I couldn't get it to the ignition on stage. It was stuck in steering lock. I left bike for 5 mins and then it was OK. Not a starting the engine issue. But IF U haven't had any issues since that first time then I probably shouldn't worry. Thanks for great videos. Have you done any modifications? If so what? I've seen a change of rear hugger / mudguard can improve or rather remove dirt and grime from getting into the works and so cleaning is easier. Any thoughts...?
@MrBob888 Thanks, yes, I could do with a rear hugger myself. It gets really dirty underneath the back end, but I do ride it all year round ist showing a bit of rust on the centre stand now (common problem) I don't really have any upgrades apart from top box .
Got my NC750X last Saturday (in red as well) and had fitted the centrestand, rad guard, hugger, Puig taller screen and Givi topbox rack. Fitted the Givi topbox from my old bike and also an MRA spoiler to the new screen which has reduced the buffeting. When funds allow will probably fit Givi panniers as well. Frunk is great, for commuting can fit everything I need in there.
They really are practical bikes. I'm glad I went for the dct ,it's brilliant. It's great adding bits to our bikes aswell, it makes them more personalised to us 😀 Thanks for watching 👀
Yeah, you'd be better off with a Burgman 400. 😍 No keyless either so a double win in my view. Great video, thanks!
I've got exactly the same bike and the stock screen was rubbish above 40 mph. Fitted the givi after market tall screen and is an absolute pleasure now on the motorway. No buffering or wind raw anymore.
Thanks for the info, I might give one a try in the future 👍
18:40 Maybe those drivers that are annoyed when a two wheeled road user filters through traffic, would prefer that we were just like them on a four wheeled vehicle making the traffic congestion even worse for everybody? 🤔 You see, it is pointless trying to reason with them stupid people! 🤷♂️
Personally I add a pair of fork sanction protection
I got a cheap satnav bar like that and it also isn't quite right. What's your stack order for the washers and welnuts under the screen? Clearly you don't want to press the screen plastic directly onto metal. Looks like you took the welnuts out and put them in through the bar struts so that rubberized top would be under the screen, then is it plastic washers and screws and that's it? No extra washers needed?
Yes you are correct it's the black top hat rubbers touching the screen on the inside then the plastic washer and original screws holding it together.
Great vid bud , thanks for sharing the info about the TomTom bracket just ordered one , did my head in too on my old Tiger Sport, picking up the New NC 750 DCT this Saturday cant wait , got a few bits already to fit myself
That's great to hear, let me know how you get on with NC because I love mine 👍
@@Crohniebiker Will do cheers
@@Crohniebiker Had the NC 2 days and already done over 300 miles on it absolutely love it , looking forward to getting the 1st service out of the way , The TomTom bracket has turned up today , cracking product thanks again bud , keep ,up the great work on the channel 👍
@dalewintle8099 That's great thanks for your appreciation buddy and enjoy your NC like me 👍
I have fitted a centerstand, mudguard extender and rear hugger on my NC750X, I guess most owners do, but it's so stupid that we have to do that. The NC750X is Honda's practical motorcycle, why on earth doesn't it have a centerstand and functional mudguards as standard? Come on, Honda, that's not good enough!
I agree totally with that 👍
Cause they are favoring adv probably. We are the only bike with this engine having solo break disc
Good extras to have….I added a radiator protector, front fender extender and a rear hugger…..bought my bike last year, the DCT version, at the time got a centre stand fitted and hand guards…..one thing has surprised me though, you just look at the screen on the bike and it just scratches, really awful in my opinion….love the bike, does everything I want and more….now to see what other goodies I might get under the wife’s radar hehe…
Great mods there Gaz and well done for fitting the main stand yourself, I succumbed and got my Honda dealer to fit mine. I like the sat nav bar, can you advise a link for it? I had the Givi one but the bar is too thin and made the sat nav vibrate so much I couldn't read the map 😩
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255474438456?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=-FuS0HHvQQi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=lUFCEI2bSWy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Hope this helps, thanks for watching 👀
I need to change the seat on my NC750X. My butt kills after 2 hours in the saddle...
I tried the airseat made the seat too high so got a sheepskin , much better no more numb butt
I hear a few people say the same, I don't find it too bad to be honest. Thanks for watching 👀
@@MarkB652 My brother suggested a seat cover. What make of cover do you have? Was it expensive
@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne you can buy them online about £75-80, I bought a genuine sheepskin rug for £35 cut it to shape and sewed some elasticated straps on, works a treat
You need to raise the front of the seat about 25mm !
Cracking vid Gaz, I'll not be on mine for a short while only had a heart attack, probably driving a car on the East Scotland👍🤢
